Privacy policy

This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or interact with us.

1. Introduction This policy explains what information Emergences Labs collects when you use emergences.ai, the NeoHuman platform, or any related service (collectively, "the Services"), how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information — name, email, and any profile details you provide.

  • Website usage — pages visited, features used, device and browser type, and approximate location (from IP).

  • Communications — emails or messages you send us.

  • Cookies — small files stored in your browser, used for authentication and analytics (see Section 7).

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the Services, including generating assessment reports and evidence packages.

  • To deliver results to the party who commissioned the assessment (typically your prospective or current employer), as authorized by you.

  • To maintain platform integrity, prevent fraud, and respond to support requests.

  • To send service-related notices and, with your consent, occasional product updates.

  • With your separate, explicit consent, to include anonymized assessment artifacts in research, training, or public benchmarks. This is optional and personally identifying material is never included without your consent.

4. Third-Party Services We use third-party providers to operate the Services (cloud storage, analytics, error monitoring, authentication, etc.). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy legal and operational obligations.

  • NeoHuman session data is retained for the duration of the engagement that commissioned the assessment, plus any retention period specified in the contracting customer's data processing agreement, after which it is deleted on schedule.

  • You can request earlier deletion as described in Section 6; some backups may persist briefly before being overwritten.

6. Your Rights You can:

  • Access or export the data we hold about you.

  • Request correction of inaccurate information.

  • Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to limited exceptions (for example, an active assessment commissioned by an employer).

  • Withdraw consent for optional uses (such as research inclusion) at any time.

  • Opt out of marketing communications.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@emergences.ai.

7. Cookies We use first-party cookies for authentication and analytics. You can disable or restrict cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work correctly if you do.

8. Children The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

9. International Transfers Emergences Labs is based in the United States. By using the Services, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at /legal/privacy-policy. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice.
